What Causes Sporadic Chronic Itching On The Arch Of The Foot?

Hi! The arch of my left foot has been extremely itchy on and off for a few months. It is tender to the touch. Additionally, the top of my foot (directly above the maddening itchy spot on the arch) is also itchy and red. A lump has formed which becomes more pronounced when I flex my toes towards my shin. I used to have a ganglion cyst on my wrist (which has since gone away yet to return), and this lump on my foot feels similar. Never had this crazy, deep itching on my wrist, though. Also find it odd that the itching seems to go through the foot - both top and bottom. Thoughts?
