What Causes Sporadic Chest Pains?

Hello. I have been having, very sporadically, chest pains on my right side. Most recently, I was scared at a rodeo very suddenly and my chest got immediately very tight and it lasted about 10 min. and then went away. My husband did give me an aspirin. what could it be?

Thank you for your question on HCM. Right sided chest pain rarely has cardiac cause. But for safer side I would suggest you to go for ecg to rule out cardiac cause. Sometimes lung problems like pneumonia, pleurisy, pleural effusion can cause such pain.go for chest x ray to rule out all this. If both these are normal than you may have panic attack. Or may be GERD. it is gastroesophageal reflux disease.
