What Causes Sour Smelling Urine?

Yikes! I just noticed my urine smells like yellow mustard. Very vinegary. I have been eating spicy food the last two days, but nothing acidic. Lots of cumin in the food and drinking Kefir to restore gut flora after antibiotics. No fever, no pain, no blockage.

foul smelling urine ... in your case may be due to inadequate water intake. Increase the water intake to 1.5 L per day. If it persisits then must get a urine check up for evidence of infection. In case u r a lady, then vaginal infection can cause a smelly urine. Since u dont have any fever or pain it is most probably due to less water intake. Kefir is not known to produce such side effects.
