What Causes Sores At The Vaginal Opening?

I have these sores right at the entrance of my vagina. Just appeared a day ago, didn t bother me I notice because I went to use the bathroom and when I wiped it felt like I had cut myself while shaving. Today in the afternoon I checked on the sores and they have a puss looking surface. I am starting to think it is genital herpes. Other symptoms I have are mild cramps to the right side. I just finished my last menstrual cycle about 3 days ago. I have only had unprotected sex with one partner with who I have been with for several years. All th others have been with protection. I have no history of std or any other vaginal infections besides of a yeast infection. What could it be?

I had gone through your question and i can understand your concern

this could be due to any of following
inflammation following injury while shaving
genital herpes or other std

In my opinion you should consult a gynaecologist for clinical examination and a battery of tests like blood for hemoglobin CBC blood sugar VDRL test

you may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor and pain killer like ibuprofen
hot water bath
maintain good hygiene
