Hi, recently I have been having trouble with tonsil stones and during removal of one of them it looks as if one of the crypts became torn. It s been torn for a couple of weeks now without problems. Now my throat is sore but just that side where the tear is. Should I seek medical attention or could it be something normal like allergies?
Thanks for your question. Superficial minor tear of crypt should not cause any problem. You may use weak Povidone Iodine solution for gargles with some oral analgesics. If symptoms persist then you may need to see a physician.
