What Causes Soreness In The Mouth And Left-sided Numbness In The Lips?

I started a couple weeks ago with a very sore mouth, tongue and gums. No frank bleeding but slight bleeding while brushing. Now left side of mouth and lip is numb and swollen. Tongue has lots of little cracks on it. Very sore. What could cause these symptoms? Thanks

All the symptoms that you are experiencing of sore mouth, tongue and bleeding gums with cracks on tongue and now numbness of mouth and lips can be due to causes like infection inside mouth, allergic reaction, acid reflux while can also be related to deeply decayed tooth causing inflammation numbness..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray and blood test can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done ..

As of now to reduce soreness take anti-inflammatory painkillers like ..
Do numbing mouthwash gargle containing Lignocaine..
Suck ice pops..
Avoid hot and spicy food..
Take a Vitamin B complex daily...
Do cool compresses over the swelling..
