What Causes Soreness Between Lower Lip And Gum?

Hello, the connective tissue inside my lower lip that connects my lip to my gum is red and very sore even when I move my lip around. There's also a small bump on it that appears whitish. What could this be? It's been 3-4 days and it appeared out of no where.

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have a canker sore over the labial sulcus [mucosal fold that connects the lip to gums] or it can be a traumatic ulcer caused due to injury with some hard food that would have injured that area..
You need not to worry and do warm saline gargles..
Apply a numbing gel like Oragel over the sore for relief..
Apply a Steroid based ointment like Kenalog in Orabase for reducing inflammation and pain..
Sucking ice pops can also help..
In case of pain OTC painkiller like Ibuprofen[Advil or Motrin] can be taken..
Avoid spicy and hard foods to prevent further irritation..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
