What Causes Soreness Below Rib Cage?

I have a sore area just at or below my left ribcage about I have a sore spot in or just below my ribs left side. Pain is about a 5 on a scale to 10. The pain is occasional. Its located about halfway between my button and left side.

Is the sore spot is red, or there is associated tenderness to touch, this is likely a soft tissue infection which Amy need antibiotics.
It will be fine if you can get it examined with your doctor to assess the need for antibiotics.
