What Causes Sore Vulva?

YYYY@YYYY . I ve noticed for a few weeks that the bit of the vulva that sticks out a bit (I have no idea what it s called but it s the bit in the middle) has been sore whenever something touches it, so sometimes when I sit down or my knickers are too tight. I looked at it and it looks a different shape than I though it was supposed to. Should I be worried?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. I presume you have been referring to the labia. Soreness in the labia can happen due to lack of proper ventilation and tight underwear, rough intercourse, infection of the vagina, urethra and the cervix leading to itching and burning. An inspection of the parts by a specialist is needed to clarify and plan further management. Use of tampons, strong soap solutions and vaginal douches should be stopped. Please do not stress. Proper management helps to get quick relief. Hope this helps.
