What Causes Sore Throat, fatigue And Numbness In Body After Having Oral Sex?

I had gave oral sex to three different men over 2 days. I was scared I might have contracted HIV so I took a HIV PCR DNA test at 6 days (a little early). The test results were Negative. At around 11 days I started getting numbness throughtout my body, and extreme fatigue. Next next day a slightly sore throat. I do not believe I have a fever but been taking ibprofine. I took another HIV PCR DNA test but have to wait 3 days for the results. Do you think I could still be positive and the 6 day test did not pick up the HIV?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear!

Welcome and thanks for consulting me. I have carefully worked through your case, and realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as your health issues may resolve soon.

After you've been infected, it can take 2 weeks to 6 months for your body to start making HIV antibodies.

This means that during this time you could have a negative HIV test, even though you have been infected and can spread the virus to others too.

This is commonly called the "window period," or seroconversion period.

I recommend you to take a prescription of Azithromycin 500mg once daily per oral for 5 days. Plus tablet Tylenol 2 tabs per oral twice daily for 5days.
Please retest after 3weeks elapse, starting from 1st, oral sex day with one partner. Once you get a lab result, contact me directly from my profile.

May you get very well soon and have a wonderful time ahead. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback and five star ranking, so that I may be in a better position to help you in future too. Go to my profile to write a Review regarding your experience with me here at my Virtual clinic. In future, you may also "Ask me a question" directly from my profile for better and prompt assistance.
