What Causes Sore Throat With Swollen Neck Glands?

My son went to the EL this past week end for a temp of 104..His symptoms were sore throat, swollen neck glands, and pain on his left side below his ribs..He has n I was been on Pen V K 500 mg tid for 3 days..He can hardly eat or drink due to feeling like the food and liquid get stuck in his esophagus, has pain in his left side below his ribs and feels very bloated. His stool today was green. His fever and throat pain have gone away.

Hello

If the pain and fever have gone away , then i dont think you have to worry , please continue the antibiotic for 3 more days , the green color of stool and bloating may be due to the antibiotic and will resolve once he stops taking them.I would also recommend that he take probiotics , which will help his gut heal faster and give him relief.
