What Causes Sore Throat , Swollen Lymph Node And Fatigue?

For some weeks I have had a sore throat, swollen neck glands, irritated bronchials, persistent cough and fatigue. I do not seem to have had much of a temperature and my lungs themselves seem O.K. but I sometimes register pressure in breathing. Some friends have contracted whooping cough--could I have the same infection?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of sore throat of some weeks, a long time to have a problem to linger back.
Also noted the swollen lymph nodes, and fatigue, both of which must be secondary to Pharyngitis, spreads by lymphatics.
This also causes the constitutional symptoms of fever with chills.
This may not be due to Whooping Cough.

Get a proper treatment in the form of antibiotics, metronidazole in low doses, anti-inflammatory medicines with painkiller properties like Ibuprofen.

Investigations as advised by your Doctor.
