What Causes Sore Throat Followed By Ear Pain And Productive Cough?

Hi I have had a sore throat for over a week it started on the left side and is now on the right side and my ear hurts also . And I have had a cough also . Coughing up mucus which is green . I took a full course of antibiotics and I just can t seem to get better .

Hello,
Thanks for asking at HCM
You need to get your cough examined for culture and sensitivity.
The morning cough is important and needs to be sent for examination.
Even after a course of antibiotics if the cough is not getting cured then the organism for causing the infection needs to be found out.
You can take a course of antibiotic like quinolones like the levofloxacin which i advice to my patients.
