What Causes Sore Throat, Dry Cough And Wheezing?

Hi, I started to not feel all that well with a sore throat Sunday night. Monday I had a sore throat and sinus congestion. Now I have tightness in my chest, a dry cough, and wheezing. I was taking alka seltzer cold in the beginning and now Mucinex but nothing seems to be working. Is there something else that s over the counter that can help relieve my symptoms because none of those seem to be working.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In your case, I would suggest you reach nearby medical facility as this is the time when you can be examined for asthma features, moreover you can have proper nebulization to relieve your symptoms and also if you are having pain you can get a painkiller too as recurrent coughing leads to muscle spasm hence leading to pain in chest muscles.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Maryum
