Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems that your son is having a bacterial [strep] or viral infection leading to sore throat , generalized feeling of unwellness and peeling hands..
Red tongue and lips are due to Stomatitis caused due to inflammation of mucosa inside the mouth and it is secondary to infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise him to get a throat swab culture done along with complete blood picture..
He can be advised antibiotics like Augmentin, painkillers like Advil to reduce inflammation and pain in throat, warm saline gargles and suck throat lozenges.
Chewing a Vitamin C pellet can help in boosting immunity..
Take a soft diet and ample of fluids..
In case if there is pain and burning in mouth gargling with a numbing mouthwash can help.
Apply a layer of petroleum jelly over the hands to maintain lubrication..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
