What Causes Sore Throat And Pain Post Tonsillectomy?

I had my tonsils removed in the beginning of may. And now I have a really bad sore throat and I noticed that there is a big bright red vain that looks like its about to burst in the back of my throat. The location of the vain is the exact location of the pain as well. What should I do?

5 star,

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

With your history, it appears that you have acquired granular pharyngitis, requires antibiotics. as such there is no connection between tonsillectomy with this infection. kindly evaluate with an ent surgeon.

Hope, I have answered your query, all the best, take care.
