Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic

I have read the query and understand your concern. The symptoms suggested by you most likely point out to an Lower respiratory tract infection with secretions pent up causing heaviness i chest and pain.Expectoration of the secretions is essential for relief of the symptoms.
I suggest my patients with similar symptoms to follow certain measures for rapid relief:

1. Drink warm water and gargle by mixing warm water with salt 3-4 times a day ,if throat pain persists buy tantum gargles(combination of antiseptic and anesthetic)/ betadine gargles.

2. Strict avoidance of unhealthy, oily and cold foodstuffs.

3. Eat well to avoid feeling weak and to improve your immunity.

4. A course of antibiotic like tab. Augmentin for 5 days will help reduce the infection along with expectorant like TusQ-X+ for clearing the pent up secretions.

5. If still the cough is not relieved its essential to consult a pulmonologist for an expert opinion about getting an chest X-ray done to rule out any lung pathology as it may well be the possibility.

Hope I have answered your query.
