What Causes Sore Throat And Heavy Chest After Surgery For Cervical Polyp?
I had minor surgery yesterday to remove a cervical polyp along with a d&C. I was under the impression I was only going to be sedated however. After leaving the center yesterday I developed a severy sore throat and tightness in the chest with heavy flemme. I'm thinking I was put under with general anesthesia. Today, 24 hours , my voice is hoarse , I have a cough with heavy flemme in the chest and tightness when I breathe... should I be concerfned.
I am 50 years old suffer from high blood pressure but other than that I'm generally healthy. I'm 5-6 and weigh 195

dear cervical polyp surgery may also done as a day care surgery.if it is associated with other complications may need general anaesthesia.yes in general anaesthesia cause hoarsness of voice, pharyngitis and aspirations may cause chemical or aspiration pneumonia. it may be side effects of anesthesia drug so. use water vapour inhalation,use bronchodilator drugs.avoid cool drinks and freeze water. still symptoms persisten you need to consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
