What Causes Sore Throat And Headache?

I have a few flesh colored bumps in the back of my throat. I felt fine yesterday, woke up today with a sore throat. Also feel some sort of sinus pressure but could be a result from my headache... previously healthy. Haven t had mono ever and no strep since middle school.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

Red bumps at the back of throat along with sore throat is pointing towards a condition known as Granular Pharyngitis which can be due to either bacterial or viral throat infection..

For confirmation consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can help..
You can also suck throat lozenges, chew Vitamin C pellet and avoid spicy and chilled foods..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
