What Causes Sore Breasts, Delayed Period And Frequent Urination While HPT Is Negative?

my period is two days late i have a very regular 28 day cycle i have sore breasts and my nipples look to be larger and darker i have been eating bannanas though havent for the past 8 years as they useually make me sick i have frequent urination and bad insomnia and mild lower back pain i am currently 16dpo and done a pregnancy test yesterday resulting in a negative result is there a chance that i may infact be pregnant regardless the result?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Delay in periods of up to 5 days is considered to be normal. It could have happened because of hormonal imbalance or stress/anxiety also.
Urine pregnancy test could be many a times negative at early stages of pregnancy.
Since you have some of the symptoms suggestive of pregnancy, kindly get the following tests done.
1. Blood for beta-HCG levels.
2. Trans-vaginal ultrasound scan (TVS) of pelvis.
In case it suggests negative for pregnancy, you need to wait to get periods. If the delay continues for long, you need to consult Gynecologist for proper evaluation and management.
