What Causes Soft Tissue Swelling In The Brain Of A Toddler?

My grandson was just released from hospital with soft tissue swelling of the brain he did not fall and hit his head he s complained of his head hurting and eye hurting he is only 2 1/2 we are very worried the hospital didn t check him out well enough any thoughts?

It is understandable to be concerned.

You may want to monitor for any neurological symptoms and also consider taking him to be assessed by a neurologist if you are still concerned.

Neurological symptoms include persisting headache like you mentioned, blurred vision, loss of balance, nausea, abnormal eye movements, dizziness, loss of consciousness, seizures, confusion, excess drowsiness.

A neurologist would conduct another nervous system examination and also may also suggest additional tests.
