What Causes Small Gas Bubbles And Belching When Diagnosed With Acid Reflux?

Have had acid reflux for years. Then yesterday had small gas bubbles all day from indigestion. Today had an early dentist appointment for teeth cleaning. Since that appointment have been belching what taste like gas/kerosene in my mouth. What would cause this?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that due to indigestion there has been belching due to excess formation of intestinal gas and as you already have a history of acid reflux there can be reflux of some amount of acid along with gas and it can cause a bad taste in mouth..
As you have got an early dentist appointment there is a possibility that you have an altered taste due to acid and belching as well as can also be due to any medication or solutions used during the dental treatment..
Nothing to worry as the symptoms will resolve gradually..
First of all you can start taking treatment for belching and indigestion, like Simethicone for reducing intestinal gas..
You can also take antacids and Proton Pump inhibitors like Omeprazole..
Take small frequent meals, do moderate workout and avoid spicy food..
To mask bad taste you can gargle with flavoured antiseptic mouthwash, and drink plenty of water..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
