What Causes Small Bumps On Face After Using Hydrogen Peroxide For Acne?

I used hydrogen peroxide all over my face to treat acne. I washed it off 40 mind later. The day after, my face had little bumps all over it and they r still here a week later. What do I do to get rid of them. I don t know if it s dry skin or an allergic reaction.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

The small bumps could be some allergic reaction of skin of face to this hydrogen peroxide.

Actually,Hydrogen peroxide is a weak acid like bleach and is actually used to bleach a variety of items including paper .

It might damage skin tissue if you apply it for too long.

While it has many great uses, I don't recommend it for use on your face.

You should take anti-allergic medicines available over the counter like benadryl with small course of antibiotics with the help of some local doctor or dermatologist.

You should use some other medications like clindamycin for your acne treatment.

Regards,
