What Causes Small Blisters And Itching On The Chest?

I have a cluster of small blisters on the left side of my chest above the nipple area its been there a few days now and no matter what I try it doesn t seem to heal or get any better. The night before I noticed it I felt a slight stinging and itchiness in the same area. Should I be worried?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Kindly consult the dermatologist immediately. Most probably you may be having a viral skin disease called herpes zoster. It is caused by varicella zoster virus. You may be having clustered vesicular eruption on one side with burning pain and pruritus. You should take treatment promptly.

I would suggest...

- antiviral drugs like acyclovir tablet in proper doses
- steroid in tapering dose to prevent post herpetic neuralgia
- pain killer
- antihistaminics
- silver sulfadiazine cream to apply on the lesions

I hope you may be alright in few weeks.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks..
