Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries I can understand your concern. You recently broke up with your girlfriend and this is the main reason for your symptoms. The symptoms like sleeplessness, rapid heart beats, lack of enjoyment in anything, tiredness etc are occurring most likely due to Acute Stress Reaction. Though its not depression or anxiety but as you are not able to sleep properly since last 4 days so I d advise you to consult a psychiatrist for help. In most cases of acute stress reaction drugs like benzodiazepines can help. Medicines like Clonazepam, Alprazolam or Lorazepam in low doses can help to improve the sleep and will calm your heart. These medicines can be taken on prn basis and once your mind become relaxed you can stop using. Please visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these medicines. Apart from this I will also advise you to relax yourself. Try to exercise a lot, spend time in outdoor activities and avoid going to the places where you used to go with your girlfriend as this will increase the trauma.
