hi thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. i would not say it as withdrawal symptoms because 12 days of valium unlikely develop it. i would rather say it as problem due to sudden stoppage without decreasing the dose. it is unlikely to cause dependency on valium with this short duration of treatment. overall it seems due to sudden stopping of drug. i would rather say you took a good decision to stop it and not going to take it because 2 weeks of valium can develop dependency. for your current sleep problem i would suggest you to take drugs like amitryptilline after consulting your physician. amitryptilline helps to sedate somewhat and there is no dependency with it. i hope i answered your query thank you and regards dr. abhijit
