What Causes Sleeplessness And Excessive Burps In An Infant?

Hi I have a 2 week old baby. She has been extremely fussy all day long. Has had one big poop and the rest have been like skid marks. She hasn t slept except for tiny naps in people s arms. She has slept probably slept a total of 2 hours all day. Anytime she has been laid in her crib she cries right away. She has wet diapers but has burped up her last couple of feedings. Which she never does. She is breast Fed. I m just not sure what s the matter or what I can do to help. Also have given her gripe water two yes today.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best for her to be seen if she continues to be this way.

Increased agitation is often the only way for a baby to show that they are unwell.

This may be due to a simple viral infection or due to more serious issues (this is not as likely).

It would be best if it is possible for her to be taken to her doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
