Hi. My skin is sort of rough to the touch but not that keratosis with white bumps, just feels sort of like sandpaper in certain areas that were exposed to sun on vacation, my upper arms, shoulders and back. What is that? Cream or sloughing doesn t help

hi
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. as per your description it seems to be present only on exposed area to sun which may be photosensitive or photo allergic dermatitis. some darkening will present and more itching or burning may present on exposure to sun. as you are telling of dryness which may be due to decrease sweating in that are. which ever may be the condition you will need to consult a skin specialist. before that i would suggest you to please apply calamine lotion on exposed area whenever you go out and please wear full sleeve cloth. cetrizine tablet can be taken if itching or burning is there. but this is not the complete treatment someone has to see the lesion. please check for the diabetes also.
i hope i answered your concern.
regards
