What Causes Skin Hanging From Uvula After Having Biopsies On Thyroid?
Hi I am a 40 yr old female. I have had a sore throat and when I took a look I noticed that my uvula has a piece of skin hanging from it. it hurts to swallow and the left side of my throat looks red. I have recently just had 8 biopsies taken from some nodes found on my thyroid. Could this have caused this?
Biopsies from thyoid has no relation with your sore throat.Did you remember any injury with fish bone or chicken as it is one sided ..Redness of throat with pain while swallowing points to infection on that part of throat.Another possibility is any aphtous ulcer in uvula..Start on salt water gargles, painkillers (tylenol) and if no relief consult your doctor for expert opinion..
