What Causes Shrinkage In Testicles?

One of my testicals appears to have significant shrinkage over the past 4-5 years, My testosterone level has been tested and is not low enough for suppliments or injections, I exam myself at least monthly and have noted the decrease in size of the right testical. I am over 55 . Is this common? I have yearly physicals and my lab work shows no signs of cancer , I do take antidepressants and blood pressure meds.

Hi.
Shrinkage with age is a normal phenomena and since your testosterone levels are normal , nothing to worry about.
I would advise you to consult an Urologist, undergo ultrasonography and Color Doppler examination. Cancer will cause increase in size and not shrinkage hence the chances of cancer are very low.
Antidepressant and Blood Pressure Medicines may not have this effects.
The small testis only on side can be due to an attack of testicular torsion in the past or due to varicocele on this side, and will be confirmed with color doppler examination and clinical evaluation. . SO nothing to sorry much about.
