my healthy and athletic 26 year old son had an episode while playing soccer... while running he felt a shortness of breath, pressure, and a rapid heart beat. He collapsed and was told by team mates he passed out. He went to the sidelines and after a rest felt ok. In the 3 weeks following he has had several similar espisode - all while exercising/exerting himself physically. He has recognized the symptoms so stopped before collapsing although he did feel like he was stumbling. He has just switched jobs/insurance companies so is scheduled to see a new primary care physician. What should he be sure to ask for in terms of tests? Thank you, Shelly
