General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear. There is a need to rule out any cardiac pathology in you and find out why you are having shortness of breath. Since you are having elevated triglyceride levels there is a need to do all the cardiac evaluation. An ECG, TMT and ECHO test will tell you, what can be the possible reasons.

There are several reasons for shortness of breath. Its a long list if i want to tell you. But if you are interested to know i can list a few.

asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, pneumothorax, anemia, lung cancer, inhalation injury, pulmonary embolism, anxiety, COPD, high altitude with lower oxygen levels, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, subglottic stenosis, interstitial lung disease, obesity, tuberculosis, epiglottitis, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary artery hypertension, pleurisy, croup, polymyositis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, sarcoidosis, rib fracture, carbon monoxide poisoning, obesity, and aerobic exercise.

But im trying to rule out cardiac pathology as the first measure

Kindly meet a physician who will rule out cardiac cause by the tests i mentioned above

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
Dr Sanjay Kini
