What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Congestive Heart Failure?

I have shortness of breath I have had congestive heart failour a few times my heart is enlarged and not like a normal heart I cough all the time sore throat ear problem dont function right dizzy lose balance tired dont sleep right have known to stay up till 6 in morning do not think right

I appreciate your concern for the shortness of breath and congestive heart failure.

Congestive heart failure is caused by a number of conditions like
Ischemic heart disease, High blood pressure, chronic alcohol intake,
disorders of the heart valves like rheumatic heart disease following throat infection caused by streptococci.
Some times cause can not be detected (idiopathic) causes, such as after recovery from myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle).

Shortness of breath is due to accumulation of fluids in the lung spaces due inability of the heart (failure) to pump the blood into the arteries.
