What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pain?

It seems that every few days mainly when I relax and sort of slump in a chair that a series of pain occurs in my chest where the heart is. Some of the pain is sharp and some slightly dull. It also seems that the pain is getting just a little bit stronger....should I be concerned about a pending heart attack? Is one of my arteries to the heart becoming clogged? It also seems I have a shortness of breath but not real severe... Terry Rorick

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, left side chest pain should never be taken lightly but better to get done EKG and ECHO and for that you can see the cardiologist, such chest pain could be due to hyperacidity but first cardiac evaluation is must hope this information helps.
