What Causes Shortness Of Breath Along With Accumulation Of Phlegm In Throat?
I am short of breath and feel like I m having an asthma attack but I don t have asthma and I have tried a ventilator and it doesn t go away. When I lay down I feel mucus or flem filling my throat and it makes it harder to breath and I cough making the breathing shortness even worse.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of shortness of breath along with accumulation of phlegm in throat which is due to excessive formation of bile which is leading to acid reflux. It could be due to respiratory tract infection as well. Need not to worry about it. You should avoid use of cold carbonated beverages You should take combination of antacid and proton pump inhibitors such as domperidone and omeprazole. Avoid oily, spicy and sharp food. Take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take proper course of antibiotic as well. You should visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription. You should take small frequent meals and avoid taking large meals. Get barium swallow test done. You should do walk and exercise daily.
