What Causes Sharp Stabbing Pain Below The Breast And Sneezing?

Hi. I have been having sharp, white hot stabbing pains directly under my right breast. There are no other symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, fever, etc. I cannot take a deep breath and sneezing is excruciating. The pains were episodic but now fairly constant . I had a chest x-ray yesterday which came back negative. What to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
The two symptoms are independent.Sneezing due to a local irritation of the nasal mucosa. That will pass.Directly under your right breast is where you find your liver.Sharp pain there could be as a result of a problem link to the liver, pancreas or gall bladder, gastritis or just a mechanical pain.I will advice you get a pain medication like prednisolone, run a liver function test(AST,ALT), do an abdominal ultrasound and see you primary Doctor for interpretation.
wish you a quick recovery
