What Causes Sharp Pain In The Torso And Cramping In The Hands?
About half hour ago, my friend told me he had a reasonably sharp pain on the left side of center In upper body. This occurs when he turns slightly to the left side. He has also had cramps in his Hands. Could this be a stroke or heart problems. He had a stint inserted in his upper left leg 3 years Ago which is now blocked. Thanks for your help. Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sharp pain in the torso and cramping in the hands. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like peripheral neuropathy , injury , gout , soft tissue injury , disc problem , carpal tunnel syndrome or venous insufficiency .For now keep your arm in hot water tub with Epsom salt for 15 minutes daily and take proper rest . Also do gentle massage with almond oil and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and avoid lifting heavy objects . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or x-ray along with blood test and urine test and physical examination to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe diuretic along with muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory along with physical therapy.
