Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having sharp pains in my temples on both sides of my head and on the top of my head. My blood pressure is 136 over 88 and I am a 75 year old women. I have a stint in my left temple area due to an aneurysm earlier this year. And I have a small aneurysm on my right temple.
Your symptoms could be due to migraine, temporal arthritis. I would suggest to consult ER department and undergo clinical examination and ESR test. If ESR will be >=50 mm/hour then probable diagnosis is arthritis. Biopsy will confirm diagnosis. Drugs like steroid is the treatment. So consult ER as early as possible for diagnosis.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar
