What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I m having sharp pains in the lower left side of my stomach area. Has been sore most of the day but got really sharp about an hour ago, feels like a knife poking me when I stand or sit not to bad when laying down. Had bowel issues last week-couldn t go then diarrhea no issues yesterday.

Hi thanks for asking question in HCM.

Noted you have sharp pain in stomach area.
So here mostly you could have ulceration or acute inflammation or infection in the form of gastritis or stomatitis.

Take pentoprazole tablet for few days.
Along with it take more fruits.
Avoid excess spicy food.
Avoid excess tea,coffe and smoking.
Avocados, blueberries and cooked oat meal good for digestive health...

If still your pain increasing then USG done for further work up.
Maintain hygeinic condition in the form of hand washing before taking meal,cutting nails regularly, well cooked warm food taken...etc.
For few days avoid outside junk foods and meat like food.
