What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side?
For the past two days I have been having lower left abdominal sharp pain ( just below my ribs) along with constant diarrhea. I don t otherwise feel ill. i am a healthy 62 yr old female - 5 4 130 lbs clean, whole food vegetarian (past two years). The only medication I take is synthroid. Any ideas?

Left side abdominal pain could be due to many reasons like:
Diverticulitis (an inflammation of diverticular pouch in intestine)
Gas
hernia
or it could be kidney stones
Ovary disorder or pelvic disease.
Any other symptoms along with it?
Get USG done of the abdomen to find the diagnosis.
