What Causes Sharp Pain In The Eye After Injury?
My daughter is experiencing random stabbing sharp pains in her eye and beside her eye after a basketball injury over a year ago. She received an elbow blow slightly below her temple in the zygomatic region of her face. She had considerable swelling and bruising but no vision impairment. X-ray came back normal. What could be causing her pain?

A normal x ray may have eliminated an orbital fracture.However, she will need to see an Ophthalmonlogist to examine for other soft tissue injury in the eyes.With conserved vision, the prognosis is good.Just see an Ophthalmologist for examination.
