What Causes Sharp Pain In Ear With Hearing Loss?

For the last month I have had a sharp pain in my left ear. I cannot hear anything. At first I had swimmers ear, but when I went to the ER a week ago, apparently my swimmers ear had turned into an ear infection. By now, according to my doctor, my ear infection should be gone. So, I decided to rinse out my ear to hopefully clear out the junk that I thought was stopping my hearing. Instead, a massive wave of pain caused me to stop rinsing my ear. My current status after attempting to clean my ear: puss-like drainage (white/pale yellow), blood in the drainage, popping in my ear, loss of hearing, ringing/static sound in my ear Age: 16

hello, thanks for your query, self removing junk is a cause of reinfection of ear drum. check out with ent surgeon for perforation in ear drum. plug your ear with cotton to prevent water. do not do self cleaning. hope I have answered your query . all the best. take care.
