What Causes Sharp Pain In Chest And At The Back?

I have excess saliva forming in my mouth for past 3 nights in the evenings also I have sharp pains in my chest and at the back in the middle of the spine Feeling bit weak and dizzy today and whilst walking this chest pain causes me to hold/ press firmly in my chest to release the pain I am going through a bit of a stressful period at the moment with family & work

I can understand your situation and problem.
Possibility of stress and anxiety related symptoms is more in your case.
But better to rule out cardiac cause first for your chest pain.
So get done ecg and 2d echo. If both are normal than no need to worry for heart diseases.
Stress causes hyper secretion of gastric acid and this causes gastritis and centralcentral chest pain and backache.
So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm.
Start proton pump inhibitors for gastritis.
Consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs too.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
