What Causes Sharp Pain Behind The Collarbone While Suffering From Cold?

Hi. I have had a cold for a week now. Symptoms have been some Nasal congestion, sneezing, slight temp, and a chesty dry non productive cough. Whilst the nasal symptoms are starting to ease, the cough is still present. As of this afternoon each time I cough I get a sharp 7/10 scale pain behind my collarbone. Should I be worried about this? Treatment: cold and flu medication Health history: 28 year old female, asthma, smoker (smoking has reduced during cold), bpd w/ depression and anxiety Regular meds: seroquel 200mg daily and symbicort turbohaler

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it must be smokers cough, first thing you need to do is quit smoking, second get done the x-ray of chest and routine blood examination it is just to rule out the infection, if care not being taken then it may developed in to COPDS (Chronic Obstructive pulmonary Disease), in my opinion better to see the chest physician for better treatment and advise and diagnosis, till then Tab Loratadine with Pseudoephedrine three times in day can be tried, if it is the infection detected then antibiotic may needed, if you are some inhaler then keep it continue, have more hot drinks, take care hope this information helps.
