What Causes Severely Painful Urination, With Pus Present In The Urine?

My husband went to the dr today because last night he had severe pain urinating dr done a sample told him he had pus in his urine but did not know why he asked him had he been hurting he told him no he asked if he had discharge he told him know he then told him it was a std he was smart firgure it out but have me tested and a culture would do no good

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Following are the causes of your problems:
Urinary tract infection
Kidney stones/Ureteric stones
Cystitis
STDs
Tuberculosis of genital tract
Prostatitis.

Consult the doctor and doctor may advice following test:
CBC, ESR, Urine routine and microscopy, culture, PSA
USG,
Cell culture, PCR, ELISA, NAAT for STDs

After diagnosis take treatment

I think it is due to UTI in your case.
Take tablet cefuroxime 400 mg two times a day for 5 days
Tablet Dan-p two times a day
Drink plenty of waters
Take rest
Take fruits like orange, pinaple, cranberry juice, grapes
Do not delay in empty the bladder.

Repeat test after 10 Days
