What Causes Severe Wrist Pain After An Injury?

I injured my wrist 7 years ago and it never fully healed. Probably had a foosh break as the injury occurred when I wrecked my mountain bike. For the second time since that injury, my wrist has flared up. No significant trauma either time. This time I m unsure of onset. Last time it followed playing goalie with a friend who has a very powerful soccer shot. Pain oscillates from a 5 to an 8 on a scale of 1-10. Pain is at my wrist at the base of my thumb and along the wrist bone about an inch or two down. Occasionally can feel it radiate up to my shoulder too. My wrist functions it is just way weaker than normal. Full dexterity of fingers and half of my normal range of motion in wrist.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this was the orthopedic injury then it has to be sent for x-ray study if it is not being done then better to get this done and see the orthopedic surgeon till then it is advisable to use the wrist belt and have Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in day, it is the matter of concern hope this information helps.
