What Causes Severe Trachea Pain While Coughing?

i have severe pain in my trachea after having bronchitus with lots of phelm coming up when I cough. it hurts very badly when I cough. the throat pain goes all the way to the bottom of my neck to the middle of my throat with swollen lymph nodes. i am hardly able to speak at all and have begun to whisper. hoping this will get better soon

Hi thanks for asking question.
These stinging sensation along with not able to speaking suggest acute viral or bacterial infection , mostly severe laryngitis or bronchitis.
You should take prophylactic antibiotic if needed.
Steam inhalation is helpful.Take antihistaminic drugs to relieve congestion and swelling.If still no benefit then short term steroid can be used.
Drink more and more water.Eat more fruit juice.
Strickly avoid smoking and excess spicy food.
Take semisolid diet for few days.
I hope my suggestion will help you.
If by repeated infection you suffer from whisper then better to do PFT to rule out obstructive lung condition.
