Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain it seems that if you have pain just above the tooth in which
root canal treatment is recently done it clearly indicates that you have an infection beneath the root canal treated tooth causing pus formation and the pus is getting accumulated in the soft tissues causing swelling..
As the feeling of air space can also be due to infection and pus formation causing swelling but if the swelling or air space feeling is extending from the region of the painful tooth it can be due to the tooth and if it is only in the region close to eye near the nose it can be due to
sinus infection and inflammation of sinus lining..
One more thing that has to be considered is that the sinus infection can also occur due to infected tooth as the roots of molars are located very close to the sinus floor and any infection can lead to infection in sinus also..
I would suggest you to consult an ENDODONTIST and get evaluated and in case if the tooth is getting infected root canal filling has to be removed followed by antibiotics and painkillers to relieve the infection and once the infection and pain completely subsides you can get the treatment re done..
In case of sinus infection an ENT expert has to be consulted and requires antibiotics, painkillers and decongestants for the treatment of
sinusitis..
Hope your query is solved..
Thanks and regards..
