What Causes Severe Sweating After Taking Insulin Pump?

My husband has diabetes, and is on an insulin pump. His endocrinologist says he is insulin-resistant but, up to now, his present medication in the pump has been the best so far; however, he is now having profuse sweating and says he can feel his sugar rising. With my own diabetes, I find I get light headed and sweaty when my sugar is LOW. His doctor is away for a week and I am very concerned. My husband does not want to go to the ER, but I am worried.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
The symptoms of sweating after insulin injection doesn't indicate rising blood sugar but its opposite if falling blood sugar called 'hypoglycemia'.
In such a case, you need to give him a teaspoon of sugar or glucose powder immediately.
It is very dangerous situation. His insulin dosage needs adjustment and hence you need to consult your doctor if it happens again.
