Noted the history of severe pain in abdomen for last 2 days, can not sleep or lye down or stand up without pain, there is also bloating with feeling for going for passing motion, but could not pass it. Wants to know further. Since there is severe pain, bloating, increase in pain on movement, the most probable diagnosis can be: Intestinal obstruction. Perforation. Any other severe inflammatory lesion like Diverticulitis This can be diagnosed by: Clinical evaluation, examination by a General Surgeon. X-ray of the abdomen in standing position. CT scan of the abdomen. Tests of blood, urine and stool. This will give the correct diagnosis and a plan for medical and/or surgical management as needed. Be nil orally till go to ER or consult a General Surgeon so that further management can be done faster as you have been suffering for 2 days.
